Rt. Rev. Monsignor Philip (Priest of Hexham and Newcastle Diocese)CARROLL (Ryton)Peacefully at St. Joseph's Care Home, Newcastle on 9th April, aged 77 years. Dear brother to Paul, David and Mary. Philip will be received into St. Agnes R.C. Church, Crawcrook on Wednesday 1st May at 7pm. Requiem Mass will take place at St. Mary's R.C. Cathedral, Newcastle on Thursday 2nd May at 12:05pm. Interment to follow in Ryton Cemetery. All are welcome at both services. Donations in memory of Philip may be given for MND Association and HCPT. These can be sent c/o

Father Phil,
You gave my sister Maura (who has Down's Syndrome), the sacrament of First Holy Communion when she was a young girl, now she receives the Jesus in the Eucharist every Sunday at mass. Thank you so much and enjoy your eternal rest with the Lord. Love Maura and Bridie
